About the Instructor:

Harold JAY Trotter is a performer, writer, director, and clinician originally from San Diego, California. While in California he was given the opportunity to perform in Los Angeles, Burbank, New York City and aboard in The Czech Republic, Prague, Germany, and Austria. He studied Music Performance and Theatre at Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana. In 2013 he moved to Houston, Texas and began a career in education and the performing arts. As an actor he's starred in plays and musicals including Driving Miss Daisy with the Tapestry Players which landed him the 2018 Houston Broadway World Award for Best Actor. He's appeared in numerous films and commercials, including the 2020 released The Birthday Challenge. As a clinician he's taught acting classes in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, and more. With several awards accredited to him as a playwright and director, Harold continues to extend his brand by living by the 1989 Dreams mission of creating entertainment, innovating minds, and moving generations through the work we present.
