Scene Study: Secrets to Breaking Down a Script

Scripts, the skeleton of stories. Like the body has various systems in order to operate, a script has components that when understood, gives the actor the power to deliver a winning audition. In this scene study, you will learn what these are and how to orchestrate them with poise and confidence in your next audition.

Please go through and pick a 1-3 page scene/role you’d like to practice as an audition to go over tonight.

About the Instructor:

David studied stage acting with Dr. Nancy Arnfield at MCC, voice at Oakland acting Wayne State University. David has been a professional Actor in Theater, Film, Commercial, Television and Voice-over for over 25 years. He has appeared in Law & Order, The Good Wife. His most notable role was George Bailey in It’s A Wonderful Life in which he was nominated for the San Bernardino regional award for best actor.
