A few weeks back, I had the chance to play as an Extra for NBC's Chicago Fire. It was a tiring one day, but I felt it was worth the work. I met so many lovely and progressive people that day, both Extras, film crew, and starring cast. We had a fun time on set together, but we knew that this was official work so we tried to keep it controlled. This was one of my first times ever playing an Extra so I was not really sure what I was supposed to do, but the co-directors were clear in their directions and suggestions so things became easier. Seeing the cast so up close from one of my favorite TV shows did give me an effect of jealousy because I wanted so badly to join that small family of actors, but that jealousy simply gave me more strength to proceed onward and fight more toward my future and desire of becoming a successful actor known around the world.
