Nickelodeon’s Rising Star, Victoria Justice

Victoria Dawn Justice is a renowned American teen actor, singer, model, and dancer. She is perhaps best known for her role as Tori Vega on Nickelodeon’s Victorious, Lola Martinez on Zoey 101, Shelby Marx on iCarly, and Rebecca on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

Victoria was born on February 19th, 1993 in Hollywood, Florida. Two years after relocating to California, she auditioned and was accepted in Los Angeles Millikan Performing Arts Academy.

Career Highlights

She started appearing in national commercials for Peanut Butter Toast Crunch, Mervyn’s, Ovaltine, and for various companies including Guess, Ralph Lauren, and Gap. Her acting career began officially when she was just 10 years old after making a guest appearance on the popular WB show, Gilmore Girls. It was after her appearance in the show that she knew she wanted to be an actress.

Shortly after her appearance in the series, her acting career officially began. She guest-starred in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody as a junior pageant, Rebecca. She also got minor roles in various films such as The Garden, Silver Bells, When Do We Eat?, Mary, and Unknown. Her major role came in the series, Zoey 101 in 2006 where she played as Lola Martinez. She also made a guest appearance in Everwood while filming Zoey 101. In 2009, she appeared in Nickelodeon’s Spectacular! as Tammi Dyson. In the same year, she made a guest appearance on The Naked Brother Band and iCarly. She also guest starred on Nickelodeon’s third show True Jackson, VP. In 2010, she guest starred in one episode of The Troop.

Her major breakthrough came when she signed a talent deal with Nickelodeon and starred in the series, Victorious as Tori Vega. The series premiered on March 27th, 2010 and garnered more than 5.7 million viewers, which made it the second largest premiere live action series in Nickelodeon’s history. She is currently starring in the new MTV thriller series, Eye Candy.

Awards and Accomplishments

In 2007 and 2008, Victoria won the Young Artist Award for the Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV series in the Comedy/Drama category. She also won Nickelodeon Australian Kids’ Choice Award for the Hottest Girl Hottie. In 2013, she won Nickelodeon Slime Fest award for Aussie’s Fave Nick Star and Aussie’s Fave Hottie. She has also been nominated for numerous film awards.

Apart from her successful acting career, she is also an accomplished fashion model and a recording artist. Her most popular hits include My Best Friend’s Brother, Beggin’ on your Knees, and Freak the Freak Out. Her first song debuted at #5 on the America’s Top 200 chart and #2 on Pop charts in the first week.

The actress has taken part in several charity events such as the United Nations Foundation and Charity Campaign “Girl Up” which supports girls who are less fortunate. She also supported the Music Makes it Better campaign which was launched by Children’s National Medical Center.

The young actress has achieved a lot and continues to inspire aspiring teens and tween actors. One of her personal quote reads” Never let anyone take away your dream” and her role model is Oprah Winfrey. Being the beautiful and hardworking star she is, she continues to attract a huge following on social media with about 28 million followers. At a tender age, Victoria is not only a true revelation, but also one of the biggest inspirations to modern-day teens and tweens.
