Mosser Casting Seeks Extras for New Apple TV+ Series Parallax, Filming in Western Pennsylvania
The Pittsburgh Film Office announced a major casting opportunity for local talent! Mosser Casting is now hiring background actors of all ages for the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller series, Parallax, filming across Western Pennsylvania between July 21 and December 19, 2025 (no filming on weekends). This is a paid opportunity to be part of a high-profile production starring some of Hollywood’s most acclaimed talent.
About the Series:
Parallax is based on the internationally bestselling Killer Instinct crime novel series by Lars Kepler, and stars:

Produced by A&E and distributed by Apple TV+, Parallax follows Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who relocates from the streets of Philadelphia to a quiet town in western Pennsylvania. But peace is short-lived, as he and his family become targets of a calculated and dangerous serial killer, Jurek Walter (Graham). As the threat escalates, Jonah must risk everything to protect his family — even if it means sending his adopted daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), into the killer’s path.
Background Roles Needed:
Mosser Casting is looking for extras of all ages to portray a wide range of characters throughout the series. They are seeking both day players and core background actors — those with strong availability to appear on set for multiple filming days between July and December.
Pay Rate:
$235/12-hour day (with overtime pay after 12 hours)
Minors will work shorter hours in accordance with labor laws
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Reliable transportation is required (many filming locations are outside Pittsburgh)
Flexible availability between July 21 – December 19 (excluding Saturdays and Sundays)
Comfortable with 12–14 hour shoot days
