Feature Film Casting New Talent in Miami
Casting Directors for the film, To the Moon, are now casting actors. This movie is about three college dorm rooms; three emotionally-packed, intertwining stories written by a young Miami filmmaker. It includes a cast of young Miami actors. In a world young people feel increasingly disillusioned by, this film takes three college students frustrated with society and explores themes of idealism, nostalgia, and aspiration.
This film tells the stories of Henry a struggling writer who feels the world won’t let him reach his dreams, Hal a young man who loses hope amidst the violence and chaos in the world today, and Gene a depressed character who loses faith in life after his girlfriend passes away in a sudden accident. The film shows how these three alienated college students regain their optimism, and once again throw themselves into the pursuit of their dreams, all the way to the moon.

Director states: “We are searching for talented, young actors in the South Florida area. Our only stipulation is that you are (or can pull off) college-aged. We recently received full funding for the production through a large grant and are immensely excited to start pre-production. We will be submitting the film to all the top film festivals, so it is fantastic exposure for young actors trying to break into the industry.”

A pessimistic college student struggling to cope with the loss of his girlfriend in an accident; he has a wry, sardonic sense of humor and a bleak worldview; the loss of his girlfriend has prompted him to lose faith in the world, but a tense, emotional scene with his psychologist challenges his depressed state.
