Hello, my name is Daniel James Cameron, I am very thankful for the life I’ve lived, and for the unique and beautiful experiences that come along with being an international model. Five years ago, I was on top of the world with a horizon of potentials awaiting me. Then out of the blue something happened, and in an instant these opportunities evaporated to almost nothing. My life would never be the same after this. I look forward to one day sharing the intimate details of my life in a documentary, book and on my website. It was by far the most difficult experience of my life thus far, but now I can look back on it, realizing that it made me a better person.  It has made me who I am and I’m stronger because of it.

In 2015, I began my comeback to modeling and recently kicked off a European modeling tour through Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany, England and France. Originally from Michigan, I take the Detroit mentality of hard work and honesty with me everywhere I go. Starting for a second time with nothing is difficult; not the ideal road map I first saw fit for my life. It’s never too late to make a comeback.  It’s never too late to make the rest of your life the best you possibly can using your previous experience. For the majority of my career, Chris Forberg has been my mother agent. I started off at IMG Models World Wide ten years ago, where Chris at the time was the director of the men’s division. Anthony Toma, the Owner of Nine9, landed me the interview with IMG.  I’m endlessly thankful to Chris Forberg, Anthony Toma, my father James, my mother Cynthia, my brother William, and my friends for the endless support. Check out my website! You will find everything about Dan Cameron and get a touch of the new blueprint of my life (www.iamdancameron.com).  What I like, what I love and my professional endeavors.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via the inquiry section. I will reply to all meaningful inquiries.Old - 11 Chris Dunlip 3

In December 2011, I decided to step away from modeling and travel for personal reasons.  This was quite a difficult period in my life, but I decided to make the most of it and I went back to school.  I graduated with a degree in marketing near the top of my class in June 2014.  After college I had an opportunity to work a 9-5 job with a company named Spider Staging, headquartered in Seattle, Washington.  They offered to fly me to Seattle for a third round of interviews.  Being the travel seeker and adventurer I am, I went without hesitation.  While in the interview, I realized I was not there pursuing this job for myself, but instead I was there for my parents.  It was to give them the feeling of stability they wanted to see in my life. I couldn’t go through with the interview because I knew I needed to pursue my passion and dreams.  I worked hard for the next year performing hard labor for little pay under the leadership of my good friend and boss Ron Taylor and my brother.

2015 on - LN2A7564In January 2015, I had enough money to move to NYC and continue to pursue my dreams.  First step in my plan was to pursue modeling. One and a half years have passed, and I have lived in NYC, L.A., Spain, Greece, Germany and now England.  I am breaking through and creating art, working to a level of which I have never been capable of before in the past years of my career.  Today I am a 30-year-old man and this newly-found ability and quality of work is a result of the hard work and relentless effort I have put into learning who I am.  I worked so hard after realizing that nothing is handed to you, and you must earn everything you set out to do.  Expect what you know in your heart is possible, don’t settle for anything less.

Throughout my career I have had an amazing opportunity to work with big editorials such as GQ (American, British, and Italian), Details, Numero Homme, La Official Homme (my first editorial ever), and Ten Man. I have had the chance to work on big campaigns such as Diesel 2x, Artful Dodger (Jay Z’s High Fashion at the time), Lucky Brand Jeans, Energie Jeans, Franklin & Marshall, Pull and Bear, and Bershka. Runway shows that I have had the opportunity to work on in Paris; Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Theory Muglor, and John Galliano. In Milan, I had a chance to work with Calvalli, Alexander McQueen, Etro, Moncler, and Vivan Westwood (my first runway show) and last but not least NYC, I worked with DKNY, Thom Brown and William Rast for the Justin Timberlake line. I have had such amazing opportunities to work with many amazing designers and editors.  I will forever be grateful for these experiences.

It has been quite an adventure so far full of ups and downs.  More ups than downs, but I cannot deny that there have been difficulties.  There have been moments on my quest where I have been in debt living on nothing more than hope and belief.  Now I’m comfortable, increasing my current static. Check out my Instagram (@iamdancameron) to follow my journey to see the real life of me, Dan Cameron.  I truly hope you see a touch of your own path in looking at my joys and my struggles.  Remember everything is possible; don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot pursue your dreams.  Only you can do that for yourself.  Good luck in your own pursuit, I look forward to deeper interaction.
