Indeed, the beloved Naked Gun film series is making a comeback, with Lt. Frank Drebin returning to crack another case. This time, Liam Neeson will step into the role of the comically inept detective, a part originally brought to life by the late Leslie Nielsen, who passed away in 2010.
Known for its humorous take on the crime genre, “The Naked Gun” series showcases the bumbling escapades of police detective Frank Drebin. The franchise is characterized by its slapstick comedy, sharp one-liners delivered deadpan, and outrageously implausible scenarios.
Per the casting announcement, the movie’s production will take place in the vicinity of Atlanta from late spring to early summer. The filming schedule is set to span from May to July. Although it’s premature for detailing specific roles for extras, the casting team has issued a call for general background actors.
