NBC shows Chicago Med and Chicago Fire are currently filming new episodes and new casting notices are out for a variety of small, extras roles.
“Chicago Med” is described as “an emotional ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital and the courageous team of doctors that holds it together.”
“Chicago Fire” follows the lives of firefighters, rescue squad members and paramedics at Firehouse 51. The show highlights the bravery of everyday heroes as they face life-threatening situations to serve their community.

To submit, please send an email to chicagomedbackground@gmail.com and use “CLEAN CUT MEDICAL” as your subject line. Make sure to include all the following information:
– Legal first and last name (no nicknames, no stage names)
– Age
– Height and weight
– Cell phone number
– Zip code
– Measurements
Males: Coat/jacket, t-shirt, neck, sleeve length, waist, inseam, and shoe (e.g., 44R, t-L, 16.5/33, 34×32, 11)
Females: Dress, t-shirt, bra/cup, waist, and shoe (e.g., 8, t-M, 34B, w30″, 8 shoe)
– Vehicle: Year, color, make, and model
– Photos: Please submit a headshot and a full-length photo that reflects your current look (hairstyle, facial hair, etc.). No filtered photos, no outdated photos.
– Tattoos: Please provide photos of all tattoos that can be seen in a sleeveless shirt. This includes face/neck, arms, and hands/fingers. If you do not have tattoos, state “NO TATTOOS” so they don’t have to follow up and ask.
They are looking for background to play “clean cut” medical types and first responders. For certain roles, men will need to be clean shaven,and women will have to have short (natural length; no long/fake nails) without bright colored polish. Muted colors and natural polish colors are okay.

Chicago Fire
Non-speaking extras on Thursday, August 1st. This will be an inside hospital shoot. Don’t apply if you are already working on this episode.
To apply send a recent color photograph with your height, weight, age, phone number and city.
Include your clothing sizes. If you don’t include all your clothing sizes they won’t be able to cast you as most of these roles require a uniform.
