19 Year Old Bella Hadid Wins Model Of The Year
Bella Hadid is 19 years old, and she is taking the modeling world by storm. Bella took the crown for model of the year in yesterday’s Fashion Los Angeles Awards. Bella’s older sister and fellow supermodel, Gigi Hadid, was also in attendance, but she was surpassed by her younger sister for top model. Both women are very talented and share a positive and supportive outlook with one another.
Bella told Entertainment Tonight that her sister’s support is, “Such a beautiful thing.” Having someone close to you in the industry is comforting and competitive, and it has paid off for both of the models. “I feel it’s hard to be in a business by yourself and the fact that I have her with me at all times, I can call her and ask her about things, is so amazing,” Bella said in her interview with ET. Bella showed up to the award show with her boyfriend, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, known as the singer, The Weeknd.
Together they make a powerful and talented couple beaming with positively and excitement about their accomplishments. “It’s so awesome, I love him,” Bella said about her boyfriend. “It’s really nice that we can be here together and that he’s supporting me.”
The Weeknd surged into the music scene with his newest R&B/pop album, Beauty Behind the Madness, and won two Grammy’s for songs on that record. Bella recently starred in The Weeknd’s music video for the song, “In The Night”. In the gritty music video she plays a go-go dancer out for blood in revolt against the criminals that wronged her. The stylish video foreshadows her murderous ways with heavy pinks and reds. It is an entrancing video filled with slow motion and abstract concepts, and Bella plays the part perfectly. She intimidates with her movements and takes control with her beauty and finesse. It is a prime example of how the two can combine their talents and create incredible works of art. The up-and-coming power couple is currently at or near the top of both their respective industries.
