The world famous company behind the iPhone is planning to launch their own television series!  Apple is creating a unique TV series about apps and the impact they have on our world.  Casting directors have announced a public casting for the unscripted series called, Planet of the Apps.

The show is being produced by the company that produced The Biggest Loser and MasterChef Junior. It will be a reality show series about the culture and processes that app creators go through. There really hasn’t been a show that brings you inside the life of an app creator, so once again, Apple is on the right track in terms of innovating.

The producers of the show have stated that the program will be more than just a reality show.  It is about how creating an app can make or break someone’s career in this competitive industry.  This will be a competition-type show like The Biggest Loser, but it will focus on how this industry impacts our world so quickly.  Filming for the show is set to start later this year and into 2017.  The first season will most likely air in mid to late 2017.

The producer of the show, Ben Silverman recently stated, “Over 2 million apps are available on the App Store, with new apps published every day.  Planet of the Apps will give app creators the chance to break through and share their ideas with the world.  This is an exciting format that taps into what is driving culture today.”

This unscripted reality show is focused on apps and our culture filled with new technology. We have access to millions of different things just by the click of a button on our phones, and the producers want to show how powerful it is to create the apps people use daily.

Open casting calls for Apple’s show will take place all over the country, but the first open call is in San Francisco.  Keep an eye out for more casting calls for this show as they search for talented individuals around the United States.
